What a load of Rubble...

Just to sing the praises of freecycle again. After clearing out our old demijohns we have managed the feat of getting half a skips worth of rubble (mostly bricks and concrete) taken away for free by someone who wanted to fill up a fish pond!!!

Night out

About two weeks ago I had my first night out since having Poppy. I suddenly realised I was in desperate need of time out and really fancied a few drinks. Due to lack of family nearby I left Steve at home to babysit and went out with the neighbours, Mandy and Linda. We went to the local curry house and I enjoyed nice food, drink and of course the adult conversation.

I wonder when Steve and I will get a night out together?!

Finally...

After 3 years, Steve has finally finished the raised vegetable beds and very attractive they look. The veggies don't look too bad either!!!

Freecycle works

Thanks to Jon and Mandy's friend Emma (who I have never met) who put me onto Freecycle. I have just managed to get rid of 18 demijohns, used for wine making that we inherited when we bought the house. Finally our garage is a little bit clearer. If you have something you feel would be useful to someone else I recommend Freecycle.

Garlic

We are beginning to reap the rewards from the garden with about 30 bulbs of garlic. We also have been eating lettuce, spinach, radishes, a few strawberries and hopefully there will be lots more to come.

Living room

Do you like our new living room? Steve has finished the decorating of our breakfast room now and it is temporarily our living room whilst our living / dining room is decorated. Poppy loves looking out to the garden, especially seeing the birds but we have a tiny amount of floorspace for her to move about on. Unfortunately I think we are going to be in there for quite some time.
