New Camera

I've often tried to take close up photos of flowers using our compact digital camera without much success but I've now got a new DSLR which I'm hopefully going to have a lot of fun with. I went for a Nikon D40 - very entry level for a DSLR (only 6.1MP but, after reading various reviews, it seems that isn't as important as you might first think!)

It got delievered on Tuesday but I had to wait for the SD card to be delivered yesterday before I could try it out - anyway, here are a few of my first attempts...
