Spring Flowers
It's official, I won't be buying any bouquets of flowers for Karen this year. Partly due to the price and partly due to the amount of airmiles a lot of the supermarket bunches have done, we have resolved to grow all of our cut flowers for the house ourselves in the garden. I have created a separate cutting patch for this purpose. It's currently planted up with lillies, gladioli, anemones and sparaxis bulbs and I'll be adding more as the weather warms up. This is the first attempt of the year... (Scented) Ballerina tulips and bluebells from the front garden!

It's Karen here - when did you last buy me flowers anyway? I am pleased however I have a husband who plans what flowers he would like to have in a bouquet and then hopefully after a little care and attention will be able to cut them for me several months later. It is lovely having a little piece of the garden inside for all to enjoy.
